Time's Halperin on Mrs. McCain, Mrs. Obama: "Would-Be-First-Lady on Would-Be-First-Lady Action"

In a February 19 entry to his website, The Page, Time magazine political analyst Mark Halperin highlighted comments made by Cindy McCain -- wife of Sen. John McCain -- following February 18 remarks by Michelle Obama, wife of Sen. Barack Obama. Halperin's entry was titled: "Would-Be-First-Lady on Would-Be-First-Lady Action."

Time

Halperin's post comes less than one week after he apologized for a comment he made during a February 12 interview with Sirius Radio's Bill Geddie, in which he said that former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) "thinks Obama is kind of a pussy." Halperin wrote in a February 13 entry on The Page: "I'm sorry. In a live radio interview this week, I used a word I shouldn't have. The fact that I was conveying other people's words is no excuse for my lapse in judgment. It won't happen again."
