ABC's Wright did not note falsehoods in the attacks on Obama that he reported McCain will make
Summary: During a preview of the third presidential debate on ABC's World News, David Wright said that Sen. John McCain "plans to present [Sen. Barack] Obama as someone who will raise your taxes" and will "question Obama's judgment and character following from [Gov.] Sarah Palin's charge that Obama has been palling around with terrorists, like former '60s radical William Ayers" without noting the misrepresentations in those attacks.

Both of them lied, both of them promised some of the same things... BTW, Johnnie Mac's look when Obama's healthcare fine of "0" was priceless. I'll give Johnnie Mac the edge on abortion, although I'll admit he was a little bit weak on that (Johnnie Mac was weak, Barry O was misguided).

You'd give Mcgrampy the "edge" on abortion? Maybe you should look into the matter further, sonny. Let me know when you get a uterus.

You'd give anyone who's pro-choice the edge then. Obama gave a better answer, which is what's going to count with the general viewership.

If people decide based on these debates, it's over. The "Joe the plumber" thing was a disaster, so was the Ayers mention (which Obama essentially goaded McCain into), and McCain's position on women's pay, abortion and healthcare are going to destroy any chances he had with women, which is a key group among undecideds.
I'm amused by the discussion after on CNN. At first it was about how McCain had his best performance, how Obama was flat, etc. Then the poll numbers come in, and Obama obliterated McCain according to viewers. Then the tone changed a little bit.
One minor note, John King is not that bright sometimes. When you get numbers like 80%-7% on who attacked their opponent more, a 40%-30% advantage of Democrats over Republicans polled doesn't make a damn difference. If people thought Obama won by a margin of 50%-44%, then that would be an important point. None of the margins were anywhere near that, so the discrepancy can be completely ignored.

Brab, I just checked out Fox, and their text poll was at 87%-11% in McCain's favor.I guess he stayed awake for the whole debate and didn't throw anything.

Don't know what you're referring to ("text poll") but the FOX poll I read had it a clear victory for Obama. You must be confusing that one with the Wall Stree Journal poll and the Drudge Report poll. Of course, you can't trust FOX even when it might be reporting truthfully because that's so out of character!
