In post-detention KSFO interview, Corsi claimed critics of Obama are "now going to have to risk being thrown in jail or killed"
Summary: On KSFO's The Lee Rodgers Show, Jerome Corsi asserted regarding his detention and departure from Kenya: "I think the story here is really the suppression of the press. ... I hate to think of what the First Amendment is going to mean. If you write a negative book or criticize [Sen. Barack] Obama, I think you're now going to have to risk being thrown in jail or killed." Rodgers said, "I'll tell you what's scary about this, to make the connection here. These are friends of Barack Obama in Kenya, who are trying to intimidate a journalist."

The way you right-wingers wanted to send everyone who disagreed with Bush to Guantanamo? GET REAL! You people are already shouting that Obama should be killed - THAT'S your definition of "free speech"!

The First Amendment of, er, Kenya.

I haven't read his *book* but I'm willing to bet his footnotes are actually endnotes. Anyone see it? Are there footnotes?

I hope Barack does bring back the fairness doctrine. Hell, I hope when the dems control all three houses that the first thing they do is submit an amendment about the fairness doctrine! That'll put the kiss o' butt juice on these psychofanatics lips...

I think they will go to satellite and so avoid the fairness doctrine. They'll work around it. But at least it would put a stake in the heart of ko, matthews, and rhodes.

I suppose it's hard to remind this f'wit that HE WASN'T IN THE US, HE WAS IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY. I know some like to think that US law extends around the world and it means that US citizens can do what they like wherever they are. As this muppet has found out, that is not the case.

When you insert the words "conspiracy theory" it might make a little more sense.
Might.

I like when people cite their own badly discredited books as confirming sources for the story they're telling, especially when it's a story out of the same book they're citing as backup.
I'd guess that if Corsi loses his validated parking ticket and has to pay the attendant, there's some crazed fist-shaking and screaming "OOO-Baaaa-MAAAA !!!!"

Jesus H. Christ... these people are pathetic douchebags. Here's an idea.... let Alaska secede, and we'll give it to all the Troglodytes to start their own country. They can even make it an official Christian Nation if they want to, eat the polar bears and drill the crap out of it. it would be a virtual Troglodyte paradise.

Oh sure, you just want that buffer called British Columbia between you and the nutters.

Even if the conservatives DID secede and create their own country, within five years the liberals would find out how great things were and illegally invade the country as illegal aliens. Then they would demand free everything.

Can you imagine the end of the first month in Conservistan, when the wingnuts all went out to the mailbox to get their SS and welfare checks, and realized nobody was there to pay for them? They'd have to quit listening to am radio all day and get jobs. Sweet!

You must be mistaken. The only illegal invasions I've seen in my lifetime was done by republicans invading Iraq looking for free oil. But nerz is right, once Alaska secedes, all the right wing morons will move there leaving libs, true conservatives and moderates here. We'll all work together to perfect alternative energy and will not only end up energy independant, we'll get rich selling that technology to other countries - except Alaska. And we'll be laughing our butts off when y'all find out that snowmobile army y'all create runs out of gas crossing over into British Columbia in a sorry attempt to invade. Y'all will be reduced to filming "Dedliest snatch" in the hopes the Discovery channel buys the rights...

Possibly, but your country would be invaded by terrorists because you were so naive about defense spending. Everybody would then have to convert to Islam or be killed (ofcourse the Jews would be killed no matter what). Luckily, the proud souls of Conservistan would fly in and save your sorry asses but will still be bad-mouthed by a bunch of Birkenstock-wearing "do-gooders".

Snowmobiles don't fly, and we'll be free from terrorist invasions because when they show up here, all we'll have to do is say "Alaska is that way". And after y'all kill each other off, we'll bury you real deap. In a few million years we'll have another source of oil...

Hilarious rhetoric, Zam. During the two World Wars, what party was in power? It will also be interesting to see how the conservatives denegrate each other's military service, plus, with the amount of chickenhawks in your ranks, fielding an army should be almost impossible.
Also, since you seem so concerned about how great things are, how are the southern states going to survive without the Northeastern states funding their welfare programs?

Conservastan is going to be in for a lot of deficit spending, not that they have any opposition to that when they do it themselves.

I fought for YOUR sorry ass. That little sticker on your wife's car doesn't make you a patriot anymore than sean hannity's speedos make him tough.
Do you have a problem with the way this election is turning out? Love it or leave it.

Also, we would NOT be "invaded by terrorists" because we respect the rule of law and we want to treat other countries with respect. Al queda doesn't hate our freedom. They hate neocon foreign policy.

Even if the conservatives DID secede and create their own country...--Zamfir
A number of years ago this would have looked to me like a desirable thing. I worried after the GOP took Congress if they in fact would have a 'permanent majority'.
But not anymore. The key reason has been what I see as the gradual and continuing awakening of the non-Southern real American as to the consequences of the realignment of the formerly rebellious states to the GOP. The Republican Yankees are more and more seeing their place as now being with the Democratic Party. This is the counter realignment which I wondered would happen.
This is a process which will take some time to complete, but I think it 's full eventuality is all but a certainty. The economic repercussions of 14 years of GOP misrule now coming to light in earnest during a Republican presidency will hasten it. It will continue regardless, but proof positive would be the election of a non-White to the Presidency.

Corsi sure is making the rounds, heard pretty much the exact same thing on the Phil Valentine show (it absolutely amazes me the things that are taken as fact on this show). You would think someone who says his claims are true and can't be refuted would have something better to back them up with than "from what I hear in Kenya", especially if he wants to call himself a journalist (an idea that absolutely repulses me).

Corsi has reason to fear. If anyone merits being sued for libel, he does. Frankly, the Kenyans treated him with greater curtesy than Corsi has ever treated the sujbects of his vile attacks.
