CBS' Schieffer failed to ask Rep. Wilson about DOJ report calling for investigation of possible charges
Summary: On Face the Nation, Bob Schieffer did not ask Rep. Heather Wilson about a recent Justice Department report that called for further investigation of actions she and others allegedly took surrounding the firing of former New Mexico U.S. Attorney David Iglesias. The report stated that their actions may have constituted an "attempt[] to pressure Iglesias to accelerate his charging decision" in a case and that if attempts to pressure Iglesias occurred, they could constitute obstruction of justice or wire fraud.

Heather Wilson is the worst of the worst. Remember she's the one that broke down crying on the floor of the House because Janet Jackson accidently flashed a little boob at the Super Bowl.

Heather Wilson is definitely one of the strangest of the GOP's house membership. I'm glad she's on her way out in January.

Attention SNL writers: Get Dana Carvey to mimic this church lady. She is so prim and proper as she tools around in her lear/limo to spew Roves bile, lies and propaganda. She needs to be knocked of her perch. She is no lady.

From today's Yale Daily News (http://www.yaledailynews.com/articles/view/25631):
"According to [Newsweek investigative correspondent Michael] Isikoff, the inspector general's report proved without a doubt that [Iglesias] was fired for political reasons."
Said Mr. Isikoff: "With regard to David Iglesias, the evidence is incontrovertible and incredibly disturbing."
Said Mr. Iglesias: "American citizens have a right to know if there was an attempt to illegally politicize the Justice Department."

The Boston Globe agrees: "The report leaves no doubt in the case of David Iglesias ..."
From "Inside Justice's political purge," Boston Globe editorial, Oct. 2, 2008:
The department's inspector general and its office of professional responsibility issued a damning report Monday on the way several U.S. attorneys, all Bush appointees, got the heave-ho in 2006. According to investigators, political considerations played a role in at least three of the nine sackings.
