Co-host Alan Colmes replied, "Well, she'd have to getelected first." Morris then said: "She already has been, with noassistance from her husband." I think the real loser on the planet last night was Dick Morris. Get over it , Dick, Bill Clinton doesn't love you.

How does somebody driven so insane by his unrequited man'crush on a former president that he thinks Sarah Palin participated in, let alone won, last nights debate, get face time on a tv network? Dick is embarrassing by fox standards, and that ain't an easy thing to be.

Reminds me of the 1990 song by Bad English

Oh yeah
I can't find myself
When you go away
Makes me wonder where you are
Is there someone else
I just need to know
This charade has gone too far
For the first time in my life
Feel I'm losing control
I can't keep pretending
It's my soul that you own
I need you
My heart's in your world tonight
(possession)
And you hold the key to my life
(possession)
I've got to be with you
I wanna dream with you
You're my obsession
I want possession of you
I can't play this game
Am I in too deep
Cause my world
Is where you are
You're always on my mind
The little things you say
I can feel you everywhere
The trace of your lipstick
I can taste your perfume
The note that you left me
Leaves a space in this room
I need you
My heart's in your world tonight
(possession)
And you hold the key to my life
(possession)
I've got to be with you
I wanna dream with you
You're my obsession
I want possession of you
Oh yeah
I can't live without you
Can't you see that your mine
I need you
Your heart's in my world
(possession)
In your world
In your world
Your heart's in my world tonight
(possession)
And you hold the key to my life
(possession)
I want possession of you every night
I want possession of you for all my life
I wanna walk with you
(possession)
I wanna dream
(possession)
(possession)
(possession)

This is a man who is totally obsessed with the Clintons.  Beyond imagination.

Posted by snoopy in reply to JLyons

Man, you got that right. What's his beef? Does he actually think that bringing up the Clintons is gonna change anything? I wouldn't be surprised if his headstone said "I'd R.I.P. if it weren't for those damn Clintons!"

Posted by DAWUSS

I turned it off (I was watching the debate on FNC) once Frank Luntz had his captive (paid?) audience (saying what he wanted to hear?).

Colmes responded in part: "You nevermiss a chance to take a slap at the Clintons. They're not in this race."

Posted by shaggles

"And when she said, at one point, in that debate, 'I just don't understand how Washington works. How can you guys vote against something, when in fact you are in fact -- when you're claiming you're voting against something when in fact you're voting for it'" Sounds like she's talking about John McCain.

Posted by DAWUSS in reply to shaggles

She never did that as Governor of Alaska?

Morris is mistaken, the real loser last night was the english language...

PALIN: Say it ain't so, Joe, there you go again pointing backwards
again. You preferenced your whole comment with the Bush administration.
Now doggone it, let's look ahead and tell Americans what we have to plan
to do for them in the future. You mentioned education and I'm glad you
did. I know education you are passionate about with your wife being a
teacher for 30 years, and god bless her. Her reward is in heaven, right?
I say, too, with education, America needs to be putting a lot more focus
on that and our schools have got to be really ramped up in terms of the
funding that they are deserving. Teachers needed to be paid more. I come
from a house full of school teachers. My grandma was, my dad who is in
the audience today, he's a schoolteacher, had been for many years. My
brother, who I think is the best schoolteacher in the year, and here's a
shout-out to all those third graders at Gladys Wood Elementary School,
you get extra credit for watching the debate.

Folksy is the new stupid.

I'm a fan of this one, Gov;

Certainly, accounting for different conditions in that different country and conditions are certainly different.

I just heard Dennis Prager while I was at lunch,he played the clip with the shout-out to the children, and his response (as close as I can get to an exact quote)--

" I love that. She's so real. America. America. Ooooohhhh...."

The "Oooohhh.." was really dirty & creepy sounding, like he had his hands under the desk.

Posted by albertsenj in reply to Col. Harlan Sanders

Has anyone pointed out to this gal that she is over 40 and white. EITHER ONE of these would make 'shout out' a phrase that doesn't belong in her vocabulary.

Can you IMAGINE what the reaction would be if Obama were to take the opportunity in his next debate to 'give a shout out to my Law Review peeps?'

Amazing.  If anyone thinks Sarah Palin will be anything more than a afterthought should McCain lose this election, they have been hit on the head with too many hockey pucks.

I know Morris grasps at any opportunity to stick it to the Clintons, but this is a doozy.

Posted by LarryScan in reply to tommy

You do not think she will show up in 2012 to run for President?

Posted by BillJ-MN in reply to LarryScan

If she does, I doubt her campaign will go any farther than Dan Quayle's presidential campaign did.

Posted by princeofwheels in reply to LarryScan

LarryScan, First she is going to have to answer questions about a possible misuse of power in her own state. And this woman wants more power as a VP. And she won't be able to wink these charges away.

The reason she winks so much is that her Witch Hunter minister cured her of twitching her nose.

Maybe Little Dickie Boy is beguiled by the Princess. What do you think his reaction was when they showed her shoes on Fox. That was probably his pay for the month.

Posted by shaggles in reply to tommy

I agree.  She will fade away.

Posted by Col. Harlan Sanders in reply to shaggles

My Republican co-worker about an hour ago walked by with another of his opinions that I don't ask for. He feels pretty sure that Palin is going to be a very important political figure, replacing Hillary as the dominant female pol.

He also had some insights that Biden has "shifty eyes", and he "is a politician".

The best thing about my Republican co-worker, is he's really fat, and has mentioned that usually on election day, as every day, he starts drinking immediately after work, and never makes it to the polls.

Posted by tommy in reply to Col. Harlan Sanders

Joe Klein summed it up best for me;

"The fact that Palin made it through the debate without running off the stage shouting, "I can't do this!" should not obscure the fact that there was only one person tonight whom anyone with any sense—even John McCain, I imagine—would trust as President."

Posted by SFnomad in reply to tommy

Sarah Palin will eventually go the route of Katherine Harris, what is she up to now? After she lost the 2006 Senate race, I haven't heard anything about her.

Posted by nerzog

Whatever her faults, Hillary Clinton has a firm grasp on policy details and issues. Something of which Caribou Barbie is not guilty.

The idea that Caribou Barbie will, by some miracle, eclipse Senator Clinton as a female political leader is as delusional as the nonsense preached in Palin's Troglodyte church.

Has anyone here ever seen Hillary wink at the camera?

Posted by pete592

Man, talk about a dream job.

"Noun, verb, Hillary Clinton... where's my check, Murdoch?"

Posted by tommy in reply to pete592

Really. I think Fox keeps him in a little cage in the studio.

They unleash and trot him out for O'Reilly and Hannity, pimp his book, compliment them, crap on the Clintons, gush and apply makeup on whoever the Republican is they are talking about, laugh and shake his belly, give stupid analysis and always say "I worked with the Clintons" making everything credible, dump on the Clintons again quickly before commercial, get patted on the head.

Back to the cage.

Very nice chart.

Posted by steeve in reply to Brabantio

This was a test for the media, not Palin.

The media has a fixed set of criteria to determine whether someone did well or poorly at a debate.  Last night we inserted a known moron into the system to see if she gets filtered out.  She did not, therefore the criteria are a failure, not the moron.

It's time for the media to judge debates differently, such as whether a candidate says anything of substance or not.

Posted by Brabantio in reply to steeve

Exactly, and this is the punchline to the "dumbing-down" of our system.  It's a "who do you like" contest, not "who has a firm grasp on the issues" contest.  Palin "seems real".  Great, and...?  You're not talking about who you want to vote off of "Big Brother", you're talking about running the country.  Pick the guy who knows stuff, even if he's boring.  This isn't hard to figure out, people.

Posted by tommy in reply to Brabantio

Good points, they should both be judged exactly the same.  The standards for Joe Biden should be no different than those for Sarah Palin, and vice versa.  They are both asking for our votes for the same job, therefore their qualifictions should be identically measured.

Those who breathe a sigh of relief over Palin's performance and now say she can skate to election day, or she's through the worst of it,  boggles the mind.  The bar shouldn't be lowered for her or anyone else.

Oh give him a break. The oldsters that watch FOX have few pleasures in life, gin martinis, new batteries for hearing aids or mobility scooter, screaming at the non english speaking clerk at the pharmacy. They also really get off on hating the Clintons. My old great uncle would always, pull down from the top of the freezer, where he kept smut like this, a supermarket tabloid with the 48 point headline "Clinton's Lesbian Orgies in the White House!!!". "See" he would exclaim, "they are defiling the White House". So it is Morris's rice bowl to come on and give the oldsters a little joy in their other wise dreary day, watching that uppity so and so steal Amercia from them.

Dick Morris = Freak

Posted by Conchobhar in reply to Caseysprings

In the immortal words of Jon Stewart:  "In Morris's defense, he is a lying sack of scat."  Slight paraphrase, but the real deal didn't get through the censors.

Posted by shaggles in reply to Conchobhar

That was a good one.

Posted by tpaine in reply to Caseysprings

I heard that his issue of "Sandals" was expiring.  What a shame, he'll miss the feature article: "Fall Fashion --- Hot Open Toed Shoes".

Posted by onionhead

I know it never came up, but I wished Hilary Clinton was mentioned in the debate.  I wanted Biden to say, "I know Hillary Clinton; Governor, you are no Hillary Clinton."

Posted by DorisRussell

Morris is a sick sick man.

Posted by wesley

During this segment on Fox, what was particularly funny was the dope slap figuratively administered by the resident phalange puffer to Fox's flaccid carpal host...telling him he was too stupid to conduct the interview without democrat talking points...and closed by saying, basically, "you're going to shut up and listen to me".

Media "professionals" at their finest.

Was Dick Morris ever convicted of soliciting prostitution or did he get out of that one?  I remember when Clinton fired him after he was caught picking up street walker (or was it a fancy call girl, a-la Governor Spitzer?).  However, Dick Morris takes the cake for the person best able to carry a grudge and act on it.  A life of spiteful revenge - it has to be a burden at times....
