After railing against gay marriage, Savage said "the spiritual side of the downturn on Wall Street was directly related to the moral downturn"
Summary: On his radio show, Michael Savage said: "[Y]ou may say, 'Why should we care about homosexuals trying to destroy families through the mock marriage that they perform in order to mock God, the church, the family, children, the fetus, the DNA of the human species? Why should we care about it while we have a financial meltdown?' Because the spiritual side of the downturn on Wall Street is directly related to the moral downturn in the United States of America."

Congratulations. Let the untalented moron derby continue. We're all very proud of you guys for being the most ridiculous idiots imaginable.

But you'll have to admit that Michael Savage' rhetoric towards homosexuals is exactly identical to Fred Phelps' rhetoric. The only difference that The Nightmare on Westboro Street didn't smooch Allen Ginsberg in the 70's, though.

Give them some credit Snoop. They did spell one out three signs right.
.333 isn't that bad an average.
Maybe they think "socialest" is what they're trying to be, the most social people in the neighborhood. You know like the "dumbest".

Nothing wrong with making an effort to be socialer. I do admire their efficiency, in streamlining "Mavrick" to "Mavrik". If we could eliminate waste in Washington the way these dynamos are doing, the country might get back on the right track.

I think you guys are misinterpreting that sign. The red circle with a line through it obviously indicates "anti-socialest", and taken in context - next to the "anti-obama" sign - would mean that they are against the most social Obama. Of course, this is where they display their ignorance, because as any public gradeschooler knows, in a comparitive situation when there are only two choices (as can be presumed here by the presence of the "McCain/Palin" sticker), there is no "-est" superlative, only the "-er". Thus, the correct signage would be "anti more socialer".
Ignorant Bumpkins.

Or is it? If we are discussing conditional statements, the signs read
if not statement 1, then if not statement two
which then makes the statement
if not a socialest, then not obama, or Obama is a socialist.
But I notice the signs overlap, which suggests this is an "and" statement. In this case it says
!statement & !Obama, or in laymans terms, not a socialist and not Obama. In this example they are just telling their neighbors they aren't socialists and Obama doesn't live there.

I will concede that perhaps the signs were uncompiled unix script, rather than the output of machine language. However my conclusion was based on the presence of the confederate flag indicating a likelihood of adherence to natively embedded instructions while maintaining an aversion to open source architecture.

A very astute point indeed, professor. I think you have a stronger case than you think! Observe that not only is there a confederate flag, what isn't there is an american flag thus indicating your thesis indeed does have a basis in fact. In addition, regardless of the conditional tense or script, the first sign clearly claims they are not socialests, yet you can clearly see a socialesque gathering on the front porch. And I also notice the lady in blue is holding something white - perhaps a hood?
There is clearly more research to be done my good professor, but I say! Good stuff, man!

But Colonel, Weiner did extensive research for this piece.
I believe its in the Book of Weiner 2:33
"And low there will be a time when gays and lesbians will ask for equal rights. And god like a tired 4 year old in a tantrum will rain ruin on America's street of walls."
Of course most bibles don't contain this book, because the evil liberals passed legislation in order to push thier communist/fascist (can't remember which it is this week) agenda.

As a single person I find it disgusting that anyone (hetero- or homosexual) would want to get married and cheat this country out of its hard earned tax money... It's a total scam no matter the sexes of the couple getting hitched and our country should not allow these vile "lovers," these co-dependent swines, these married people to keep their money anymore. What if EVERYONE got married??? How would we bomb 3rd world countries into oblivion if we can't afford the bombs?

Posted by neon desert in reply to bleedingheart420
You're not thinking this thing all the way through.
Let's say I pay $10k in taxes, and my girlfriend pays $10k in taxes. After we get married, we get a tax break, and combined only pay $17k. Then we have a kid, and the deductions bring us down to $14k.
BUT - that kid grows up and gets a job, and begins to pay taxes to the tune of $5k and is no longer a dependent, taking our deduction away and returning us to $17k. That's a combined $22k in revenue from the three of us. Cut our taxes (we all know that cutting taxes increases revenue), and suddenly the govt. is getting $30k from the three of us, effectively buying enough bombs to obliterate Iran AND Venezuela, and maybe even have enough left over to do a little damage to Spain, too.
And that's why we can't let teh gays get married - after their tax break as a married couple reduces revenue beyond what tax reductions would overcome, they won't even have any kids, and we'll fall into economic ruin.

Savage has hit the nail on the head, once again......darn tootin'
I know that any financial mess I ever find myself in is not my fault. It's the fault of those reckless parade marchers in San Francisco and that morally reprehensible lifestyle they choose to live in after that parade is over. Well, I am headed up I-5 right now and tell them to stop, so I can stop worrying about this looming financial crisis.

Try wearing leather and feathers while marching shoulder to shoulder down a crowded street and see how you like it. By the end of the parade I was like a drenched chicken dragging around a 50# cow.

That's because the arguements are not logical. And that is what causes anyone who uses logic such headaches (even republicans, unless they are part of the "brain washed" masses).
There are two paths these people use.
1. Answer each question with a new statement, but don't answer the question (example: "Why do you think gay marriage will destroy 'traditional' marriage?" "Gay relationships are not natural")
2. Because GOD says so. (These people, I believe are the truly lost. Because they will not debate, and are taught that any other interperation of the bible other than what they have been instructed to believe is the work of satan. So anyone who tries to show them the faults in their belief system, works for Satan (you can tell by double checking that person's W2's))
Remember these are the same type of people who believe Government is evil and wants to restrict their rights. That government should 100% stay out of thier lives. But plead to that same government to help them when thier houses are destroyed in a flood and/or live on the wellfare/social security checks they get every month.

The "natural" argument cracks me up. Of course it's easy to point out that homosexuality occurs in nature. And there's also a very strong argument to be made that all of the people who have gone through divorce, disinheritance, beatings, public mockery etc. because they are gay have a pretty good reason to choose heterosexuality, if there is some choice involved.
At that point the argument becomes about procreation. There can't be any furthering of the species from it, so that becomes the new definition of "natural". Of course, one thing has nothing to do with the other, and you can go back to the previous argument about gay penguins. That doesn't further the species either, yet it occurs in nature.
What's more, marriage itself may not be natural. Some animals are monogamous for life, others aren't. With a 50% divorce rate, maybe humans are in the latter category.

I only vaguely remember this from college but I seem to remember an argument that homosexual activity is a natural result of reproductive behavior. Basically any animals need to reproduce is manifested as sexual desire. If there are no available females the males need some way to get there rocks off. Lowering sexual desire would mean the end of the species so homosexual behavior is actually related to furthering the species.

A short story.
This past week my campus was infested with a number of "religious" individuals (you can guess which faith and no they were not Buddists :) who set up in one of the many "forums" on campus and proceeded to preach. To make it short, we are all going to hell, being liberal, drinking, being gay, etc, etc
It was interesting because when asked, several things were discovered.
Not one of them ever went to college, they based everything on sterotypes of college students.
They had a HIGHLY edited versions of the bible. Which they have not read, because when questioned there were whole sections they did not know about or would not admitt exsisted.
They believed god was lying about that whole "judging others" thing, because they judged everyone and used some very nasty language to do so.
When they took questions they were easily confused and would revert to thier prepared text when they didn't or couldn't answer.
And finally like watching the Palin Biden debate last night, if something was pointed out that they couldn't answer, they changed the subject.
(But they did do a little good on campus. It provided entertainment between classes. And also, one of the sororities was holding a fund raiser for cancer research, they had never had so many people donate before (i.e. so many students gathered in one place)

If you're ever in Vegas, go down to the "Fremont Street Experience", the Downtown area where casinos like the "Four Queens" are. You might find somone with an "Intelligence test" on a big sign. Of course the intelligence test is easy, but it leads you into this religious dialogue about how you can't be a good person unless you follow the Commandments.
I destroyed the guy, and that was even after I drank a rum and coke about as tall as Danny Devito. I think you would enjoy yourself immensely.

You forget the fact that for most of human history, polygamy was the standard. Even in the Bible, most of the marriages are polygamous. One Man, One woman is a relatively recent development. So when people say "what's next, polygamy?" all aghast, I have to rmind them that its in the Bible. I also chuckle when I hear "one man, one woman just like its always been". Sorry, its not always been.

actually in the Bible God condemned that activity. It is in the Bible because it is a historical fact that people lived that way.
Take Solomon for instance, he was king of Jerusalem, he got prideful and took mulitple wives (as his father did) and God ultimately judged his actions.

polgyamy is NOT condemned in the bible. Not in either the Old or New Testaments. You are wrong on that one. And Solomon was judged, but NOT for being polygamous, but for OTHER reasons.

Posted by Brabantio in reply to ca
There are legal reasons to keep polygamy illegal, primarily regarding rights of the spouses. Are insurance companies expected to cover a man's five wives, or just the first one? If he dies without a will, how do you divide the assets? In conflicts between wives, you would have to have an established order of dominance, presumably starting from the first wife on down. This creates a system of second-class citizens, third-class citizens, etc. It complicates things where not necessary, since anyone wanting to involve themselves in that sort of situation can do it through mere cohabitation. It can also be argued that it is inherently abusive and encourages cult-like atmospheres.
Gay marriage creates no such complications or psychological issues. The principle is that any two consenting adults should be able to get married. Gay marriage and straight marriage have the exact same dynamic. Once you get into polygamy, bestiality, and pedophilia (the slippery-slope scare tactics used against gay marriage), that dynamic changes. It's not two consenting adults anymore, and with bestiality and pedophilia you have two undeniably abusive scenarios. So there is no reason for anyone who supports gay marriage to support any other type of "alternative" union.

Oh, I agree. If we permit teh gays to marry, next we'll be allowing two women to marry one man, like, John McCain. And we can all see what a travesty that "marriage" to that man is!

"Incredibly wise"? Then explain to me why Savage quoted "the latest scientific studies" when he claimed that "90% of the FIVE-MAN Nobel Committee were into child pornography and molestation".
Michael Savage thinks that his listeners are retards with zero IQ, so he feels that he has to preach and lecture to them. And he lies all the time, and bashes homosexuals in a Westboro Bastard Church-style fashion. And just like the WBC, he has no respect for the American soldiers dying in Iraq, as he puts up pictures of their bloody dead bodies up on his site.
For anyone to say that Savage is "wise" - I'm sorry, but we're not the one's with mental disorders here.

I liked the "mocking fetuses" part. It's so difficult to fit the fetus mocking into the wedding ceremony itself. My partner and I chose to have the fetus mocking station in the receiving line, between his parents and mine. "so nice of you to come to the wedding... would you like to mock the fetus?" "Apparently the boys are planning on bringing about the destruction of the global economy, right after they get back from their honeymoon." "Really? I heard they were just planning on painting the den."
