I guess, as far as accurate reporting is concerned, we can kiss that idea goodbye.  If NPR cannot get it right, who can we trust?  CNN - "The Most Trusted Name in News". NOT.  Fox - "Fair and Balanced". Don't make me choke.  NPR has had a fairly good reputation for years (or maybe I just haven't paid attention).  Most of my "elitist" friends enjoy "All Things Considered" and "Morning Edition", etc.  Thank GAWD for the internet.  At least one can garner various takes on almost any topic from an enormous variety of sources and get a larger picture.  I have given up on any of the MSM: radio, TV, and print.

Chin up, There's a little good in each of them. You do have to be lucky finding it and having access to it though.

I gave up on them in the late 70's and felt little deprived or depressed about it. That came later, upon reflection and information of its effect on the remaining veiwers.

That effect is toxic to the society and population that its bubbles inhabit.

What is that tone they take about?
