Don't look at Caribou Barbie!  Quick!  Look over here!

Yes, listen to the supporters of hate speech and a convicted felon and faux xristian who will tell you what is what.

Posted by mefirst

what he obviously meant to say is that mccain has not talked about me being a muslim.  again, one of those items where if you just play the brief exchange in it's entirety, you see what he's saying.  but just like hillary, you get one line pulled out and the media refuses to point out the context.

Remember that whole brouhaha with Rush and "Phoney Soldiers" awhile back?

Nobody at MMFA had any problem ignoring "context" then.

Posted by Col. Harlan Sanders in reply to ripper76

I remember that, you're right Ripper. All of the problems with ignoring context were with the dittoheads. Thanks for reminding us of how consistently the liberals have no problem with context, whether that problem is ignoring it or not understanding it at all.

Boy, Rush Limbaugh sure insulted our military.Anybody who loves America must hate Rush!

Posted by mescal in reply to Col. Harlan Sanders

I love America!

Rush is a pig.

The lipstick only comes into play on his Jeff Christy weekends.

Posted by MoonbatYouBet in reply to ripper76

Screw you Rushbot.  At the time many of us clearly indicated the entire context supported the statement as the dismissal of servicemen that did not agree with Rush's worldview.  It was only by extending the "context" of his remarks to a previous conversation and then editing his own transcripts that Rush was even able to make a flimsy case in his own defense.

"Phoney" soldiers?

That implies they're telephone operators or communications specialists to me.

Rush is a coward. He is as soulless as they come. He shouldn't be allowed to make comments about any type of soldier.

Chickenhawks forfeit being able to comment on anyone else's soldiering.

I love the way these partisan hacks refuse to read anything in to what their candidate says but read everything in to what the other guys says.  Freudian slip indeed.

I just don't understand why they need to ressurect that muslim line. They should just follow their congressional counterparts and call him "uppity"...

Georgia GOP candidate calls black MSNBC reporter ‘uppity.’»

Speaking to a Georgia morning news show last Thursday, GOP congressional candidate Rick Goddard criticized an MSNBC reporter’s sharp questioning of former House speaker Newt Gingrich at the Republican National Convention. Goddard called the African-American reporter, Ron Allen, “uppity“:

I’ll tell you one thing, I think we’re going to have a very, very strong, capable president in John McCain. Last night, Newt Gingrich disarmed a very uppity newscaster who tried to question him on the capabilities and leadership of Governor Palin. There’s simply no comparison between a governor and a community organizer.

Georgia GOP congressman calls Obamas `uppity'

Sep 5, 2008 11:58 AM (5 days ago) By BEN EVANS, AP WASHINGTON (Map, News) - Democrats are calling on a Republican congressman from Georgia to apologize for referring to Barack and Michelle Obama as "uppity," but the lawmaker stood by his comments and said he meant no offense.

Speakinsday, Rep. Lynn Westmoreland of Grantville, Ga., described the Obamas as members of an "elitist-class ... that thinks that they're uppity," according to The Hill, a Capitol Hill newspaper.

Asked to clarify whether he intended to use the word, he said, "Yeah, uppity."

In a statement Friday, Westmoreland - who was born in 1950 and raised in the segregated South - said he didn't know that "uppity" was commonly used as a derogatory term for blacks seeking equal treatment.

Any reasonable person knows  he meant to say that the McCain camp and the GOP have tried to talk about him being a Muslim. Now Obama is a Christian, the GOP can not have Rev Wright but claim he is a Muslim, can they?
These clowns in the thread are not credible anyway, I mean Gordon Liddy and Michael Savage? Please.

I think what we're seeing here is just further proof that conservatives actually ENJOY telling lies. It's like their "humor": it's of the "poke in the eye" variety, referring to the pleasure they derive from saying nasty things which no one can make them stop saying or take back. In this respect, talk radio hosts are scarcely any different from obscene phone callers.

I totally support you, Barack, and it is sinful the way these pathetic goons manipulate, but learn how to use air quotes!

WTH is wrong with being a Muslim? You can be a Muslim and not be a Muslim Terrorist!

Posted by Kyle_Broflovski in reply to DAWUSS

Nobody said there's anything wrong with being a Muslim, except maybe you.

The reason it's wrong to call Obama is a Muslim is because it is a lie.

Posted by DAWUSS in reply to Kyle_Broflovski

The point I was trying to make is "Why make Obama's religion an issue?"

We're not making America's Hockey Mom's religion an issue are we?

Posted by worrierking in reply to DAWUSS

Not yet, but hopefully soon we'll get to ask her about some of the things she's said.

Posted by mefirst in reply to DAWUSS

actually when she says we're on "god's task" in iraq, it should be an issue.

Fright.

does anyone have any idea..or vision as to what will become of us if these two DO win?

i can't seem to get my head around anything but the horror...and conservatives- please...step right up and give me your ideas. this is really wigging me out.

I am a fiscal conservative and don't fit the Conservative definition these days but I will forecast.

Life will go on. Sure it is not the life I want to see go on but it will. People will grow more skeptical of their government, either knowingly or willfully ignorant.

The talk radio monsters will grow to even scarier in proportion.

Big Oil will get even bigger and gas not one cent cheaper (and not even one acre will be drilled in US properties).

Credit card companies will increase late fee to $1000.

Lobbyists will grow even more powerful and you will see Viagra being marketed to teenagers, like cigarettes.

We will be at a perpetual war with imaginary enemies and real American people dying.

 Military draft will come back.

Wrongful claim to Executive previlege will become the norm. Anyone questioning the King, President, will not know what will happen to them.

I could go on, but this is the frightful future I see when I imagine Republican adminsitration for the 4 years.

Posted by ripper76

It's glad that MMFA is focusing on this story. I think it's good to hear more about Obama and his Muslim faith.

Keep up the good work!

Posted by ultrasanktpauli in reply to ripper76

um how about some help with my question Senor

Posted by Col. Harlan Sanders in reply to ripper76

Ripper, do you send money to Nigerian princes?

Posted by nerzog

How can any thinking person be a Republican these days? Aren't you the least bit embarrassed by this wholesale dishonesty? My God, these people are despicable.

Posted by ultrasanktpauli in reply to nerzog

i'm there with you. i was hoping for a response to my question. but maybe no one is interested. maybe they are without vision. maybe they replace vision with 'winning'. i don't know.

"If I were on a jury trying to convict this guy of his Christian faith,"

I love that line.

Posted by carlileb5935

"If I were on a jury trying to convict this guy of his Christian faith,"

Again, I love that line.

Posted by my4cents1172

It just goes to show how many disgusting creatures the Republicans let grow under the talk radio rocks (in the disguise of free market when they are anything but) the past 2-30 years.

Posted by my4cents1172

The article's title itself is lending false credulence to these morons that they are 'Conservative'.

"Partisan Repubplican Hack radio hosts seize on ........"would have been more appropriate.

When I see them hanging from lampposts, with their guts hanging out, then I'll believe that there's a difference between radical Islam and the rest of Islam over there. But if I don't see that - if I don't see the massive uprising against them, I can only assume that they're the shock troops of all of Islam in the Middle East, how-do-you-like-that?

I have nothing against moderate Muslims. They're part of the domestic tapestry and the international tapestry. They're as much opposed to radical Islam as I am. [...] I will play the clip of this Mohammedan slip again and again and again until America realizes that it is too dangerous to vote for Barack Hussein Obama.

Michael Hitler-Savage, stop assuming we are retarded (L.I.A.M.), and just straight-out say about the Muslims what the Germans said about the Jews seventy years ago. You are EXACTLY like the Nazi propagandists, except you won't admit it.

Posted by fvrnite7537

The main problem seems to be that in this case the conservative Republicans want to keep thei claim that Obama is some sort of covert Muslim sneaking into the Presidency and his alleged dishonesty regarding his actual faith brings up images of Al Queda and Muslim terrorists and so forth.

As opposed, to, say, Pat Robertson's attempt to become President with his extreme Christianity.

IMO this whole presidential election ruckus is BS. Its two parties giving us what THEY choose for president and selling their stoolie to the public to see if enough people "buy" the promises that are never delivered.

And who made all these talk show mouths experts and credible all of a sudden? They ALL pander to their audience demographic and I doubt any of them, liberal or conservative, will actually say anything honest or truthful without some distortion.

Republicans are liars.  What else is new?
