Doocy father and son both ignore son's report about some young voters' knowledge of Obama

On the August 25 edition of Fox & Friends, Peter Doocy, son ofco-host Steve Doocy, purported to report on what young voters know about Sen.Barack Obama. But despite acknowledging that he spoke "to some people whoknew some things about his résumé," Peter Doocy aired only clips ofpeople who did not demonstrate substantive knowledge of Obama. Peter Doocy thenannounced that when asked what they like about Obama, the "average18-year-old" says "he's young, he speaks well, and he'sa great performer" and said: "Could this be the first American Idol president?" Alsoignoring his son's report of having talked "to some people who knewsome things about his résumé," Steve Doocy said: "[Y]ou'vetold me that a lot of the kids your age love Barack Obama. They justdon't know anything about Barack Obama."

Would it not be fun if Jay Leno cornered  them on "Jaywalk" ?????

Hey Steve,

Next time you want to try and act like you know what the hell your talking about..... you might want to research that a good portion of this generations young kids... actually do know about Obama!!

Example: I work at Pizza Hut (A known place for the 16-20 crowd to work) and of the 7 under 19 year old kids that work there...... all of them know enough about Obama to know that he is the best hope for this country!

One of the 16 year olds knew stuff about Obama that I knew as well.... and I'm 38!

So you and your pathetic FoxNoise cohorts can spew all the sh!t you want about Obama....... its only gonna work with those that already watch your crappy channel!!

Oh.... and nice of you to ignore your own sons hard work with your purposeful propaganda by splicing clips!

One apple that didn't fall far from the tree...although he probably never stood a chance with Fox honchos had he actually tried to give a fair and balanced report.

I saw it this morning and almost broke out laughing.  Doocy the Younger was so earnest and dad looked so proud.

If I'm not mistaken, the little peter was featured in a full length film called "perfect college sinners".

"Could this be the first American Idol president?"

Hardly !

This young Doocy guy seems to be interested in becoming a journalist. Maybe he should see if he can get Fox News to embed him with a combat unit in Afghanistan or Iraq.

If he's not careful, he'll suffer the same fate as his father, having his head embedded permanently in his ass.

Too late, the little german helmut head has been thoroughly indoctrinated into the nationalist movement.

The little wingnut is just ripping off Hannity's act. Hannity sends his "man on the street" down to find young Obama supporters, then asks them about specific legislation. Then he chuckles away at what an "empty suit" and a celebrity Obama is.

I wish Colmes would send somebody out to find Mccain supporters, any age, and start asking them to name specific bills Grampy worked on or passed. Stupid concept for the stupid Fox audience.

The turd does not fall far from the propagandists behind....

Mini-Doocy seems to have contempt for American Idol, and it's affect on the younger generation, but meanwhile, it is the biggest show on FOX.

He also makes a very misleading (who didn't see that coming) comparison between the number of people who vote for President, and the number of people who vote for American Idol. The problem with comparing them is that voting on American Idol is much easier (can vote by phone or text message), and more importantly, they allow people to vote as much as they want.

Vote early and vote often....why not? Then you have a chance of at least one of them being counted. Do you hear that Ohio?

Idiotic annoying aneamic preppie wanker.

What the hell was that shite? I mean really!! The cropped quotes were bad enough, but the little prat couldn't find any young people of colour to interview? What, did daddy's scary stories and SBMS get to this idiot too scared to go up to some and ask his asinine questions? He is in NEW YORK F'ING CITY and all he could find were young white kids? WTF?!?!?!? And what is the deal with giving this gangly f'wit a "job" in the first place? What, we are supposed to be impressed by the fact that the son of the weatherman got to go out into the streets and try to chat up nice young ladies? My contempt has yet to reach it's peak.

Looking at him the only thing that sprung to my mind was Bob Hoskins famous line from the end of film The Long Good Friday:

"Shut it you long streak of paralyzed piss"

"So America chooses their American Idol based on confidence and performance. But that's not how we pick presidents. We look at their record."

It's always good to start your story with a lie, it lets the audience know that they will be hearing fiction, not fact.

Or am I just missing all those McCain commercials that detail his long legislative record?  Did I miss all those people who went with Bush over Gore because W was a "guy they could see themselves having a beer with"?  I think there may have been some candidate somewhere in the 80s who won the presidency based almost completely on his ability to make people feel good about themselves and their country despite any evidence to the contrary.

Oh no, we here in the US always use completely rational criteria in deciding our president.

Where's the misinformation?

Where is the misinformation?!?!?!?!?

It wasn't really hard to find you muppet, it was part of the f'ing headline. Reading your posts for the last few weeks l know you find it hard to actually comprehend things here in the real world not wingnut land, but for the love of all things rational READ THE BANNER HEADLINE BEFORE YOU TOUCH YOUR KEYBOARD!!

But they didn't transcribe that segment did they?

It sure would have helped.

Get the plumbing and paint in your house checked for lead content, immediately.

"PETER DOOCY: Now, I want to make one thing clear. I did speak to some young people who knew some things about his résumé. "

From the above story.

Okay seriously, is there some sort of Wingnut drinking game where you deliberatly post some thing stupid so when you get a reaction you have to drink a shot? You do know that continued drinking won't be good for you in the future right?

Posted by princeofwheels in reply to ukobserver

Per the drinking game...that is when Cheneys' hearing went bad and thought they said "somebody needs to get shot". Gotta be careful around some people.

Posted by NiceguyEddie in reply to DAWUSS

Are you self-parodying or just being stupid?

He's already learned how to do dishonest, unbalanced, hit pieces. Daddy must be so proud.

What's next? Steve Doocy's daughter, Lucy Doocy? Or his alcoholic cousin, Juicy Doocy? How would any of us answer questions on the street from some kid who so obviously is baiting us? If you did give an intelligent response, Lil Doocy, learning at his Daddy's knee (jerk), would just snip that out of the tape. Anyone remember the scene in "The Day the Earth Stood Still", in which Klatu (Michael Rennie) is asked by some dumb a** TV reporter about the space ship's abilities, is immediately cut off and made fun of because he COULD explain the power source? Must have been Steve's grandfather, TV legend, Goosie Doocy.
