On Fox News, Conway suggested Clinton will take "revenge" on Obama donors

On the July 2 edition of Fox News' The Big Story, Kellyanne Conway -- the CEO and president of the polling company inc., who, according to the biography posted on her company's website, "has provided commentary on over 1,000 ... television shows" -- suggested that Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (NY) would take "revenge" against the more than 250,000 people who have donated to Sen. Barack Obama's (D-IL) presidential campaign. Conway said: "[T]hese are 250,000-plus people who are willing to publicly go against the Clintons. That's remarkable to me because, you know, Hillary Clinton ... puts a lot of energy into revenge."

Yikes! Clinton is going to take "revenge" against ALL of Obama's monetary supporters!

These people are incredible with their little fantasy worlds.

Posted by jeter2 in reply to magnolialover

Well they are Clinton Inc. ;-)

Posted by magnolialover in reply to jeter2

True. It's probably like that scene out of the movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back where they gather the names of everyone who trashes them on the internet, and then go to their homes and beat them down.

Posted by snoopy in reply to magnolialover

I thought revenge was the prime real estate of the republican base?

Posted by jeter2 in reply to snoopy

Aw Snoop stop it.

Not all the Liberals have halos, not all the Conservatives have horns.

Please don't force me to put you on my Moonbat list ;-)

Off-topic: Where the hell is Tommy? Val? Bruce?

This place is getting to be a drag :-/

Posted by worrierking in reply to jeter2

Don't know where Val and Bruce went, but Tommy is in France.

At least that's the story we made up to explain his disappearance.

Posted by jeter2 in reply to worrierking

Yeah King I saw that tale being told a week or so ago...but it's not like Tommy to be away from "home" so long. I know he is despised by a few grumps here, but most like him, and he does liven up this forum.

If this place is going to become a Liberal *love-fest* without the laughs, I may join Tommy in France.

Posted by juliajayne in reply to jeter2

Tommy livens up this forum? I'm not a grump, but from my perspective all Tommy monikers do is stew it up for no good reason. When I see a thread 200 posts long, I get turned off. It's just a bunch of back and forth with no results. Now if Tommy monikers got a point and had a memory, then it might be interesting. More cons posters like you who make mostly thoughtful, nuanced arguments would add greatly to the exchange of ideas. Most of the monikers just aren't that way. They are just too linear for me. You have to point out every stinking detail and it still isn't remembered the next day. I guess it's good for people who might like to argue (which I'm not one of).

Posted by jeter2 in reply to juliajayne

Julia,

I think you're wrong about Tommy.

As far as the 200 post threads that went off topic...blaming it solely on Tommy is unfair.

Tommy's detractors [and they know who they are] seemed to lie in wait for his first post then would pounce on the tiniest bit of minutia in trying to discredit or twist a point Tommy made. It takes two to tango.

Tommy is an intelligent, interesting poster. I for one miss his participation here & hope he returns.

Posted by heru in reply to jeter2

Nobody likes Tommy. He's in 'rehab' at Bellevue.

Posted by solon in reply to heru

I like Tommy.

Posted by open_mind in reply to heru

I have lost a lot of respect for tommy over the last six months or so.  It started for me a while back when tommy was IMO demonstratably dishonest.  I called on him to apologize and he never did.  I used to think we could have honest disagreements, but that episode made me reconsider tommy's possible motives and method of thought.

I don't think tommy is malicious, but he has become more intellectually dishonest on some subjects over time IMO.

I find that it is enjoyable to read tommy's posts (even when I disagree) when he isn't using logically questionable tactics.  However the mere mention of some subjects like the ACLU or logical fallacies quickly exposes the frightening depths of tommy's worst irrationality.

Posted by snoopy in reply to jeter2

Aw Jeter, you know whenever I see a one sided claim I like to respond in kind!

But I did see tommy on a hospital list in France. It was apparantly a case of escargot indigestion. He snailed it and mollusked all over the place.

Posted by jeter2 in reply to snoopy

I know Snoop, I was just funning ya ;-)

Posted by juliajayne in reply to jeter2

Jeter, I have a halo :) In fact all of the libs that post here have halos, especially HBL. His halo is made of comedic gold.

Posted by HuntingtonBeachLefty in reply to juliajayne

Aw, gee, JJ, that's sweet. You're not selling it to Jeter, though, he is well aware that I'm an angry troll who stalks conservatives and is scared to rebut the same vague opinions and ridiculous talking points 50 times in a row.(that's not Jeter , but his less lucid fellow conservatives)

Jeter also knows I'm am Angels fan, and while nicknamed "The Halos", they are more hated than Satan himself to Yankees fans, due to their winning record against the Bronx Boobs over many years. But that's a different subject. ;0)

Posted by jeter2 in reply to HuntingtonBeachLefty

Beach, I see your Yankee envy continues...

Let's see how many times have the Angels won the Series? How many times have the Yanks?

The Angels are just annoying gnats in our glorious history ;-)

Posted by eweston8542983 in reply to jeter2

I'd offer to ask, why is this here, but I can't bring to it what Tommy does.

Posted by jeter2 in reply to eweston8542983

Aw go ahead Eweston...I miss reading that here, and Tommy wouldn't mind.

:-)

J2, Howdy.  I was in Baltimore on business last week so was unable to post.  Remember that Yankees game where you guys walked in the winning run in the bottom of the 9th to lose 3-2 in Camden Yards?  Yes, I was there cheering on those "O's".  Hope we can still be friends, especially since you guys are whipping up on my Twins this week.  But I'm still around here when I get the chance to throw in my 2 cents worth...

Later...

Posted by HuntingtonBeachLefty in reply to bruce1ace

Bruce, are you adding Baltimore's and the Twins wins to come up with a 500+ record? That seems highly unethical.

Posted by bruce1ace in reply to HuntingtonBeachLefty

The Twins are regrouping for next year but they are over 500 this year which puts your post squarely in the realm of BS, nothing new there...

;-)

Posted by HuntingtonBeachLefty in reply to bruce1ace

Wait, Bruce... BS doesn't stand for "baseball statistics", does it?

OK, you got me. It was, I confess, snarky hyperbole. But never BS. ;0)

Posted by open_mind in reply to bruce1ace

I don't think Jeter could possibly be offended by anyone who hates the Yankees.  He lives in Beantown for God's sake.  If that was a criterion, Jeter probably wouldn't have any friends there (or nearly anywhere outside of Bronx).

Posted by jeter2 in reply to open_mind

Correct you are Open_mind, one couldn't exist in the middle of Red Sox Nation & survive without a thick skin & a sense of humor ;-)

Posted by jeter2 in reply to bruce1ace

That's Ok Bruce.

Until the Yankees start paying me a salary I won't take it personally ;-)

You lucky sh#t, I'd love to see a game at Camden Yards.

This is a particularly bizarre and over-the-top attack on Hillary considering the fact that the Libby case is on the front page right now. I guess they've done a good job of burying the fact that the whole thing was an example of how far the Bushies will go to attack opponents. Actually, that's probably the very reason for this story right now. They tend to accuse the opposition of exactly what they're guilty of in order to muddy the waters of discussion. It makes it appear that it's just a 'No I'm not, you are,' type of argument. So while their side is actually guilty of this kind of ruthless politics that gets lost in another 'fair and balanced' round of accusations.

Posted by redking75687 in reply to magnolialover

Nah, they'll be lined up outside her door with open wallets and new pro-corporate legislation if she wins the nomination. They're only giving Obama the money because he promises to kiss their arse once in the White House and Hillary's not as popular as the Dem propaganda machine claims.

Posted by djasper2761 in reply to magnolialover

If she gets in the white house, after fumigation, I hope she will not have forgoten about the right wing slimeballs that preceeded her. Remember: " revenge is MINE ( and yours and Hillarys) sayeth the lord.

Posted by SueEld

So analysts are not allowed to give opinion? Yet hosts of shows like Keith Olbermann can attack Bush and call for his resignation over using his constitutional power regardign Scotter Libby? Why the double standard?

Posted by Si_W in reply to SueEld

That's an opinion?  A qualified opinion or just complete rubbish?  You seriously buy into the fallacy that Hilary Clinton is making lists of people who donate to Obama so she can reap her revenge once she gets into power?

Just where's the evidence that this is even happening?  Is she making lists of everyone making donations to Republicans as well?

Posted by dave_chicago in reply to SueEld

>>"So analysts are not allowed to give opinion?"<<

So we're not allowed to question analysts?

Posted by heru in reply to dave_chicago

She's about as 'analytical' as rain man. Why are conservatives so dumb? They must have used lead based paint in trailer homes.

Posted by lolo in reply to heru

And your blanket statement shows your intellect sir.

Posted by solon in reply to SueEld

You molest small furry animals. Just like the accusation by numbnutz it is stated like a fact. Would that belong on a news show? Would it be reasonable if I were just going to make such crude accusations that SOME evidence be forthcoming to justify this kind of attack? If you dont think so then you BELONG listening to FOX news as all you want is the brainwashing and personal attacks.

Posted by neondesert

I'm certainly glad to see that Paris Hilton found a job propitious for displaying her intellect.

Posted by juliajayne in reply to neondesert

Yeah, I caught that washed out blonde look myself. Lip gloss and all.

"Hillary Clinton spends a lot of energy in -- in putting -- she puts a lot of energy into revenge ... People are not giving to Hillary Clinton because they don't know her. They're not giving to her as much because they do know her"

It's amazing how there is such great demand in the news job market for babbling idiots.

Posted by worrierking

Revenge?

So now Hilary is supposed to be some kind of Klingon or something?

Posted by Limit Corp. Ownership in reply to worrierking

She is a piddling boob, babbling on shamelessly with filth and innuendo.

Who?

Why, John Louise Gibson, of course.

Are they trying to make us afraid of voting for either one? Fox news is nuts!!!! I've never seen such sloppy journalism until the last 7 years. It's so sad that journalists will sell their journalistic souls to report such garbage. Money would not be enough to stop my lust for the truth, but look at all the sellouts. They really should go to journalistic rehab or something..... geezzzz......... They didn't scare me with all the amber alerts in the last 7 years. I don't think it will work with the Clintons. Unless they made me listen to stories or something, then I might crack...
